Washington, D.C. – Mark Kelly lying to Arizona voters about his record is nothing new. Kelly lies about his role in driving up prices at the pump, establishing – and immediately violating – the so-called “Kelly Standard,” and most famously working with Joe Biden to create a crisis along the Southern Border.

Recent U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data reveals the record-breaking crisis impacting Arizona border communities. To evade blame, Kelly has naturally resorted to lying about his contribution to the ongoing border crisis in his latest campaign ad. Working to “improve border security”? Not so much.

Instead of working to secure the border and protect Arizona communities, Mark Kelly has:

  • Funded sanctuary cities
  • Sent taxpayer-funded stimulus checks to illegal immigrants
  • Defunded efforts to secure the Southern Border
  • Voted against prioritizing the arrest of illegal immigrants charged with violent crimes
  • Voted against the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy
  • Had staffers transport illegal migrants across Arizona

Mark Kelly does not support improving border security – he supports open borders and his border crisis.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Katharine Cooksey: “We can’t blame Mark Kelly for lying to Arizona voters about being a key driver of this border crisis. Kelly knows he’s out of a job this November once voters figure out that he doesn’t care about securing the border or keeping Arizona communities safe. D.C. darling Mark Kelly works for Joe Biden, not for Arizona.”
