Radical leftist Mary Peltola said the Alaska Opportunity Act is “damaging” Alaskans. By opposing this Alaska first legislation, Peltola supports:
- Raising taxes on working families by $250 per month to pay for healthcare for illegal aliens.
- Taxing Social Security benefits, taking money out of the pockets of seniors who have paid into the system their entire lives.
- Raising taxes by over $1,400 per year on hardworking Alaskans like waiters and bartenders who depend on tips.
“Mary Peltola, along with the Lower 48 liberals backing her DC-driven campaign, want to raise taxes on Alaska families to pay for healthcare for illegal aliens. Peltola puts Alaska last,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
