If you needed additional evidence Claire McCaskill is turning towards the more radical elements of the Democratic Party, look no further than her enthusiastic embrace of extremist Elizabeth Warren.
Folks are taking note of Warren’s toxicity, with the Washington Times observing that Warren’s “approval rating is underwater in states such as Virginia and Missouri — where incumbent Democrats could face tough Senate elections next year.”
Despite President Trump winning Missouri by more than 19 points last November, Claire has ignored the will of her constituents and buddied up to Warren, who has risen to prominence as leader of #theresistance. McCaskill has voted with Warren 86% of the time, and has been handsomely rewarded for her loyalty. Senator Warren has donated $10,000 to Claire this cycle, and sent out numerous fundraising solicitations on McCaskill’s behalf. Claire’s actions show she’d rather take the money raised from coastal elites than represent Missouri voters.
“Given Senator Warren’s extreme values and radical positions, Claire McCaskill’s close relationship with her should raise red flags for Missouri voters,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “McCaskill and Warren’s close bond highlights the fact that Claire McCaskill is completely out of touch with the needs of Missourians.”
