Chuck Schumer — who is struggling to keep Craig’s flailing campaign alive in his messy Senate primary — just lost his proxy war against Sanders in Maine.
“Socialist Bernie Sanders is parachuting into Chuck Schumer’s messy Minnesota Senate primary with momentum, and Peggy Flanagan is soaring within the DFL. Angie Craig should be worried that her D.C. boss, Chuck Schumer, will abandon her like he did to Janet Mills in Maine. Either way, the lunatics are running the asylum now,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
