Last month, Michael Bennet defied the American people and paved the way for President Obama’s negotiations with Iran by repeatedly blocking a vote on the accord in the United States Senate.
Yesterday, an administration official told CNN that Iran’s missile test over the weekend "likely" violated a U.N. resolution:
Iran’s test this weekend of a new surface-to-surface ballistic missile "likely" violated a U.N. resolution, an administration official told CNN on Monday. Based on information the administration has so far, the test appears to be in violation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 1929, which stipulates that Iran cannot engage in any activities related to ballistic missiles.
FLASHBACK:
- Is this what Bennet was talking about when he said “I believe they will cheat” in the middle of voting to approve the nuclear deal three times?
As National Journal’s Ron Fournier notes, Michael Bennet will be held accountable for siding with President Obama and his deal with Iran:
If I’m a Democratic senator up re-election after backing Obama on this deal, I’m getting my resume in order.
Senator Bennet, feel free to check out these highly rated resume writing services in Washington. After failing the people of Colorado, you will need it.
BACKGROUND:
In September, Michael Bennet Said “There’s Nothing About This Deal That Leads Me To Want To Trust Them. I Don’t Trust Them. I Believe They Will Cheat.” “‘We need to do everything we have to do, including a military option, to prevent Iran from having the bomb,’ the senator said, pounding his fist on the podium. ‘There’s nothing about this deal that leads me to want to trust them. I don’t trust them. I believe they will cheat. When they cheat, I believe we will be in a much stronger position to use military force because we have chosen diplomacy and worked in a multi-lateral fashion. ‘This deal doesn’t say we need to trust Iran. This deal doesn’t say we should take military force off the table. We shouldn’t,’ he said to loud applause from the audience.” (Charles Ashby, “Bennet Defends Vote For Iran Deal,” The Daily Sentinel, 9/12/15)
Michael Bennet Voted Three Times To Block The Senate From Voting On A Resolution To Disapprove Of The Obama Administration’s Nuclear Agreement With Iran. (CQ Vote #264, 9/10/15; CQ Vote #265, 9/15/15; CQ Vote #267, 9/17/15)
