Despite voting to reward the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism with access to more than $100 billion, Senator Michael Bennet admitted "I believe they will cheat."

Bennet’s prediction that cheating would be involved in a deal with Iran came true. Yet, it was the Obama administration that cheated.

As The New York Times writes, the Obama administration "manufactured" a narrative to advance its nuclear deal with Iran:

The way in which most Americans have heard the story of the Iran deal presented — that the Obama administration began seriously engaging with Iranian officials in 2013 in order to take advantage of a new political reality in Iran, which came about because of elections that brought moderates to power in that country — was largely manufactured for the purpose for selling the deal. Even where the particulars of that story are true, the implications that readers and viewers are encouraged to take away from those particulars are often misleading or false… it was also actively misleading…The idea that there was a new reality in Iran was politically useful to the Obama administration.

The Obama administration actively misled the American people for purposes of selling their wildly unpopular policy agenda.

FLASHBACK:

NBC News, 10/29/13: “Obama Administration Knew Millions Could Not Keep Their Health Insurance.”

  • President Obama’s Policy Advisors Objected To The Breadth Of The “Keep Your Plan” Promise Because They Knew A Number Of Policies Would Be Cancelled. “But at times, there was second-guessing. At one point, aides discussed whether Mr. Obama might use more in-depth discussions, such as media interviews, to explain the nuances of the succinct line in his stump speeches, a former aide said. Officials worried, though, that delving into details such as the small number of people who might lose insurance could be confusing and would clutter the president’s message. … One former senior administration official said that as the law was being crafted by the White House and lawmakers, some White House policy advisers objected to the breadth of Mr. Obama’s ‘keep your plan’ promise. They were overruled by political aides, the former official said.” (Colleen McCain Nelson, Peter Nicholas and Carol E. Lee, “Aides Debated Obama Health-Care Coverage Promise,” The Wall Street Journal, 11/2/13)

As poll after poll indicated – and as hostile action after hostile action verified, the American people knew better than to believe the Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton/Michael Bennet Iran fairy tale.
