Michigan Democrats’ 3-car pileup of a primary is on full display this week with dueling polls from Haley Stevens and Mallory McMorrow, and Abdul El-Sayed announcing he will campaign with Hasan Piker, who thinks America deserved 9/11.
In case you missed it (and it’s only Wednesday):
- Abdul El-Sayed said it was a “risk” releasing a statement on the Temple Israel attack, and then proceeded to announce he would be joined on the campaign trail by radical, antisemitic influencer Hasan Piker who blamed Israel for Oct. 7th.
- Mallory McMorrow released a new poll showing her ahead in their messy primary, causing Haley Stevens’ Communications Director to start arguing that Stevens only went from +4 to -7 instead of +6 to -7 as the poll showed.
- In response, Haley Stevens rushed to release her own poll that is over a month old and told us Abdul El-Sayed is actually winning on the informed ballot…?
- Abdul El-Sayed was exposed for claiming he “did time” for participating in a protest, but in reality he just got a ticket.
“Get the popcorn ready because Haley Stevens, Mallory McMorrow, and Abdul El-Sayed are already ripping each other apart and we are still 132 days out from the primary,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
