WASHINGTON, D.C. — Michigan Democrats’ messy primary came to a head tonight as Bernie Sanders-backed Abdul El-Sayed and Chuck Schumer-backed Haley Stevens took the debate stage one last time. El-Sayed and Stevens sparred over accepting money from corporations, Medicare for All, and abolishing ICE. Haley Stevens was also caught repeatedly lying about her record on issues like DTE campaign donations and her recent vote against banning stock trading for members of Congress.

“Michigan Democrats’ messy primary came to a head tonight as Democrat socialists Abdul El-Sayed and Haley Stevens race to the bottom in their effort to prove who is more radical,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
