Tammy Baldwin is out with a new TV ad today … and boy is it bizarre. Senator Baldwin tries shamelessly to tie herself to Wisconsin’s booming economy, looking directly at the camera saying, “there are millions of jobs in America that need to be filled” and going on about job training legislation that she failed to pass.

What Tammy doesn’t mention? The millions of jobs in America “that need to be filled” were created, no thanks to her, by the tax cuts she voted against last year.

Indeed, there are now more job openings than the number of unemployed Americans. Wisconsin’s unemployment rate is at an all-time low. Billions are coming back from overseas, and more than 1 million jobs have been created since the GOP tax cuts were passed into law last December.

But Senator Baldwin pretending she had anything to do with the economy’s rebound is the pinnacle of political deceit. Not only did Tammy vote no, but she also said she’d repeal the tax cuts if she gets re-elected to another term.

“Tammy Baldwin can take exactly zero credit for Wisconsin’s booming economy which is a direct result of the GOP tax cuts and Governor Walker’s conservative reforms,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Baldwin voted against tax cuts for Wisconsin families even though she knew they would create jobs, restore the American economy, and increase paychecks for hard-working families. No wonder Senator Baldwin’s approval ratings are still upside down.”
