WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad and microsite ahead of Governor Janet Mills (D-ME) entering Maine’s already crowded Democrat U.S. Senate primary. The ad was generated, in part, using artificial intelligence software.

“Maine Democrats are locked in a bruising fight between Chuck Schumer’s out-of-touch
establishment and Bernie Sanders’ far-left radicals,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Janet Mills wants to be the oldest freshman Senator in American history after a record of failure that turned Maine into one of the weakest economies in New England. No matter which Democrat emerges, we’re confident Mainers will continue to trust independent problem solver Susan Collins to keep delivering for them.”

Watch “No Thanks, Janet” here.

Janet Mills’ failures have made life harder and less safe for Mainers. Mills:

  • Would be the oldest freshman Senator in American history at 79 years old if sworn in.
  • Raised taxes on Maine families but didn’t pay her own.
  • Oversaw a Department of Education that resulted in Maine public schools being ranked last in the nation and Maine students having the lowest reading and math test scores in three decades.
  • Supports biological males competing in women’s sports.
  • Supports dangerous and lucrative transgender treatments that enriched her family.
  • Is letting Maine become a sanctuary state, allowing violent illegal immigrants to threaten Maine families.
  • Refuses to tackle or comment on the black market China-linked cannabis and human trafficking operations devastating rural Maine while her brother facilitates real-estate transactions for illegal growers.
  • Forced 55% of Maine small businesses to close during her 473-day COVID shutdown.
