Bill Nelson just announced his opposition to Judge Brett Kavanaugh, but one thing is clear – he was never going to support the eminently qualified judge in the first place.
Nelson has voted against Floridians and with Democrats in Washington time and again. He’s opposed Justice Neil Gorsuch and voted no on the historic tax cuts that are already providing real relief for families across state. It’s no surprise that when it matters most, Nelson has once again chosen his party over Florida.
“Bill Nelson has once again folded to the far-left and his Washington party bosses, making it clear to Floridians that he will always cave to pressure from his leftward leaning party,” said NRSC Spokesperson Camille Gallo. “Bill Nelson’s opposition to Judge Kavanaugh was never about qualifications, it was about appeasing his liberal base and Washington Democrats, while selling out Floridians along the way.”
