Washington elitist Bill Nelson chose to ignore Floridians and voted to block a vote on Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court. This is further evidence that Nelson is more interested in aiding dysfunction in Washington than representing folks at home.
Despite representing a state President Trump carried in the 2016 election, Nelson refuses to work across the aisle for the sake of a functioning Supreme Court. This is yet another example that Nelson’s focus in Washington is playing partisan games – not representing Floridians.
“Bill Nelson blatantly disregarded the will of voters by attempting to block a vote on Judge Gorsuch’s nomination,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Floridians deserve a Senator who is unafraid to stand up to the obstructionist leadership of Chuck Schumer. Today, Nelson made it clear he’s not that guy.”
