WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new ad today slamming Democrats for refusing to condemn Virginia Democrat Attorney General candidate Jay Jones following reporting of text messages where he called for the death of his political opponent and their children.
Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) is still fundraising with Jones and continually refuses to call on him to end his campaign. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) has said unequivocally he still supports Jones.
“Jay Jones said he would put two bullets in his political opponent’s head, yet Senate Democrats refuse to condemn him, with some even doubling down on their support for his campaign,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
