The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new TV ad in the Maine U.S. Senate race exposing Democrat Sara Gideon for doing nothing following the news that her own campaign staffers donated to bail out violent criminals. Gideon later went to fundraise with a billionaire who supports defunding the police, in addition to voting for budgets which would have cut hundreds of thousands from Maine state police.
“Sara Gideon can’t be trusted to fight for Mainers and stand for the safety of Maine families,” said NRSC spokesperson Nathan Brand. “Gideon did nothing about an alleged sexual predator in her caucus and now she is trying to give Maine’s voice away to radicals bankrolling her campaign who want to defund the police.”
