Heitkamp proudly announced that she will spend the next two days campaigning with former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel. That’s the same Chuck Hagel who made the following disparaging comments about the President, “Donald Trump is a doing great damage to our country internationally. He’s an embarrassment.”
In a state Donald Trump won by 36 points, Heitkamp’s new campaign attraction should go over about as well as her decision to out sexual assault survivors without their consent…
“Heidi Heitkamp’s insistence on insulting North Dakota voters only makes her electoral defeat more certain,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Heitkamp’s decision to bring Chuck Hagel and his Trump-hating rhetoric to North Dakota is a slap in the face to the majority of North Dakotans who still proudly stand with President Trump.”
