Washington, D.C.— The NRSC today released a new digital video that celebrates Women’s History Month. The video features Senators Shelley Moore Capito, Susan Collins, Joni Ernst, Martha McSally, and Cindy Hyde-Smith discussing what being a leader in the Republican Party means to them and other women.

“Republicans have led the way in giving true opportunity to women to serve, and I think we should never forget that and need to talk about that more often,” said Senator Susan Collins.

The senators, all of whom are up for re-election in 2020, share personal stories and experiences from their past that motivate them today.

“Given the opportunities that I’ve had, I’m just honored that I can provide some inspiration to young girls and women. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. If you’re around people in your life that are saying you can’t be something because you’re a woman, find new friends; find new mentors,” said Senator Martha McSally.
