A new poll out this morning has more bad news for disgraced New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez.

The survey from Stockton University shows Menendez’s lead down to a 2-point margin at 45% – 43%. Menendez’s favorability remains deep underwater, with just 30% of New Jerseyans having a favorable opinion of the Senator, compared to 54% who view him unfavorably. And as Republican candidate Bob Hugin has become better known in the Garden State, it’s clear voters like what they see, as his favorability currently stands at a solid +13.

“It’s clear that New Jersey voters don’t want a crook like disgraced Senator Bob Menendez representing them in Washington,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Menendez has been shameless in his corruption, and New Jersey is ready to turn the page by electing Bob Hugin in November.”
