The NRSC released a new television ad in Montana today, blasting Senator Tester for leaving Montanans behind in favor of big checks from Washington lobbyists.

Tester promised he wasn’t going to “sell Montana down the road by cutting deals with D.C. lobbyists,” but then went to Washington and ended up taking more money from lobbyists than just about anyone else in the Senate. No wonder President Trump said, “Jon Tester will never drain the swamp because he loves the swamp.”

“Senator Tester ‘sold Montana down the road’ a long time ago in favor of his plush life in the Washington swamp,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “From becoming the number one recipient of lobbyist cash to his million dollar home on Capitol Hill, it’s clear Jon Tester has become everything he ran against 12 years ago. Washington changed Jon Tester and it’s time for voters to show him the door.”
