The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new TV ad this morning exposing Democrat Sara Gideon’s ongoing blatant hypocrisy. While Senator Collins wrote the Paycheck Protection Program, Gideon attacked the program that has helped so many Maine small businesses. Meanwhile, Gideon’s husband’s law firm received millions from the program.

“Democrat Sara Gideon’s campaign for U.S. Senate has come to be known for her blatant hypocrisy,” said NRSC spokesperson Nathan Brand. “While Gideon attacked a program that was helping so many Maine small businesses, her husband’s law firm benefited from that same program. Mainers deserve a U.S. Senator they can trust, not a risky choice like Democrat Sara Gideon.”

Who is Sara Gideon kidding?

Gideon’s negative ads attack Susan Collins for passing the bill that’s helping Maine’s small businesses during these tough times.

Gideon called it a bailout. But to Gideon’s husband – it’s a lifeline.

His law firm received up to two million dollars from the Paycheck Protection Program.

Nothing wrong with that.

Except for Gideon’s hypocrisy. That’s no joke.

Just one more reason why Gideon is a risky choice, for Maine.
