Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly just gave in to pressure from his far-left base, ignoring the wishes of the majority of Hoosier voters.

Sleepin’ Joe announced he would vote No on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, surprising pundits who thought his survival instinct was more powerful than his allegiance to the Democratic Party. In one ill-advised announcement, Sleepin’ Joe proved to Hoosiers that he had no interest in representing his constituents, despite earlier in the week telling his fellow Senators that folks in Indiana want Judge Kavanaugh confirmed.

“Hoosiers will forever remember Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly as the politician whose last decision as a Senator was to abandon his constituents and side with his liberal base and their shameful antics,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Sleepin’ Joe’s vote against Judge Kavanaugh ensures that Hoosiers will grant him the retirement he is apparently angling for in November.”
