North Carolinians are set to have more money in their pockets this tax season thanks to President Trump and Senate Republicans passing the largest middle-class tax cut in history. According to IRS data, the Working Families Tax Cuts are saving Americans $2,290 on average this tax season, nearly 11% more than last year. Meanwhile, January inflation cooled to 2.4% year-over-year, beating expectations again.
“President Trump and Senate Republicans are delivering bigger tax refunds and lowering inflation after years of skyrocketing costs under Democrats like Roy Cooper,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “While Cooper would have voted against these historic middle-class tax cuts, Michael Whatley is committed to helping North Carolinians keep more of their hard-earned money.”
