While her Democratic colleagues are lining up to support Gina Haspel, who has been called the most qualified person ever nominated for CIA Director, Claire McCaskill is still refusing to tell Missouri where she stands.
When asked today how she would vote on Haspel, McCaskill answered “I’m not going to talk about it.” So why is McCaskill refusing to comment? Because she still hasn’t decided whether she’d rather anger her constituents by opposing President Trump’s highly qualified nominee, or anger the liberal donors funding her campaign by going against the far-left 2020 hopefuls who are leading the opposition to Haspel.
McCaskill can’t walk this tightrope forever!
