Last week, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd asserted that Murphy is such a bad candidate that Democrats could walk away from the Florida Senate race.
And this weekend, Politico’s Marc Caputo delivered more crushing analysis: Privileged Patrick just isn’t ready for primetime.

"Then you look at Patrick Murphy. He doesn’t look like…he’s either not ready for primetime or his handlers don’t think he’s ready for primetime."
Murphy stumbled into the general election last week by refusing to answer Marco Rubio’s call for six debates. And while he was maintaining his summer-long tradition of hiding from voters, the federal elections watchdog began looking into complaint that Murphy accepted illegal contributions as part of a straw donor scheme.
- "The Federal Election Commission, the government body that oversees campaign finance, is reviewing a complaint alleging that the campaign of Rep. Patrick Murphy accepted potentially illegal contributions in 2011…" "The complaint by the Republican super-PAC claims that a donor and childhood friend of Murphy’s, Ibrahim Al-Rashid, avoided campaign contribution limits by using the names of employees and the parents of his then-partner as ‘straw donors’ when the money really came from the Al-Rashid family. A total of $24,000 was involved."
No wonder Murphy is getting hammered by observers and running from the public eye. The secret is out: every aspect of his campaign confirms the assessment that Privileged Patrick just isn’t ready for primetime.
