After being confronted with Hillary Clinton’s disgusting comments describing Trump supporters and North Dakotans as “backwards,” Senator Heitkamp was asked when Hillary Clinton will go away and said “not soon enough.”

This is odd considering a little more than a year ago, Heitkamp was campaigning for Clinton and telling everyone who would listen that Clinton would be “one of the greatest Presidents of the United States of America that we have ever seen.” Heitkamp’s change of heart must have something to do with her running for reelection in a state President Trump won by 36 points and having a record of consistently voting against North Dakotans on everything from taxes to Obamacare. Unfortunately for Heitkamp, her support for Hillary won’t be disappearing soon enough for her to be reelected.

“Election Day can’t come soon enough for North Dakotans tired of being lied to and taken advantage of by Heidi Heitkamp,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “While Heitkamp desperately tries to distance herself from Hillary Clinton’s toxic brand, voters will remember that she did everything she could to get Hillary elected president.”
