The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) launched a digital ad blitz today targeting Senate Democrat incumbents and Democrat challengers in Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and North Carolina for fighting to give free healthcare to illegal aliens over feeding American families. Senate Democrats have voted to keep the government closed 13 times, and now Schumer’s Shutdown is threatening to end SNAP assistance this week for 42 million Americans who rely on it to feed their families.
“Senate Democrats like liberal Jon Ossoff and Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked candidates across the country care more about giving illegals free healthcare than feeding American families,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Democrats are pandering to the far-left and voters won’t forget it in 2026.”

- On October 10, 2025, the Department of Agriculture sent a letter to state agencies advising state processors to “hold their November issuance files and delay transmission to State EBT vendors until further notice.” The letter stated that there were only enough funds to keep the SNAP program going through October 2025.
- A “Democratic insider” told the Hill, “[Ossoff’s] calculus is, ‘Do I vote to open the government up and get crushed and can’t raise a single dollar of low-dollar money or do I vote to shut the government down and get $3 million [from online fundraising]?'”
