WASHINGTON — NRSC Chairman Cory Gardner made the following statement regarding Senator Orrin Hatch’s retirement announcement:
“Senator Orrin Hatch’s invaluable contributions to the U.S. Senate as President pro tempore and as Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee will long outlast his remarkable career,” said NRSC Chairman Cory Gardner. “As the longest serving Republican Senator in history, Orrin Hatch’s many achievements have shaped American politics for the better. I wish him well as he begins this new chapter with his wife Elaine, his children and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”
