The NRSC launched a new TV ad in North Carolina, “Streets,” which begins airing today. The ad is part of the NRSC’s $2 million reservation that will run until Election Day.

The ad chronicles perhaps the most radical example of Deborah Ross’ work at the North Carolina ACLU. As the ACLU’s chief lobbyist, Deborah Ross defended a sexual predator by making the argument that the offender, “…attempted, unsuccessfully, to rape her [the victim].”

As reported by CNN, the unthinkable crime that Ross defended was described as follows:

“Green punched the woman upwards of 15 times, tore off her clothes and used his fingers to penetrate her, while performing oral sex on her. The victim accused Green of penetrating her ‘once or twice’ with his penis, according to court documents. He only stopped when the police arrived, running out the front door of the house — despite threatening to ‘rip her insides out,’ the records say. She was badly injured and bruised, while her son who witnessed the attack, she said, was emotionally scarred.”

TRANSCRIPT:

NARRATOR: “We know ACLU lawyer Deborah Ross puts her radical agenda before common sense.

“But shockingly, she tried to free rapist Andre Green after he broke into his neighbor’s house, beat and raped a young mother, while her son watched.

“Green threatened to quote, “rip her insides out.”

“And Deborah Ross?

“She fought to release him when he turned eighteen.

“It makes you wonder, what Deborah Ross was thinking?”
