Socialist Abdul El-Sayed yesterday endorsed the Democrats’ socialist nominee for New York Mayor, Zohran Mamdani.
Now that Democrats have found the new face of their party in New York, Michigan’s ugly Democrat primary is where the radical left truly makes its last stand.
It’s not surprising El-Sayed is backing Mamdani; they’re both Bernie Sanders-backed socialists who share many extreme policy positions like:
- Ending cooperation with ICE
- Using taxpayer funds for the so-called transgender treatment for minors
- Accusing Israel of committing genocide in their war against Iran and its proxies
- Abolishing private health insurance
- Banning guns
- Ending cash bail
- Defunding the police
- Ending incarceration
“Progressives are calling the shots in the Democratic Party now, and the grassroots energy behind socialist Abdul El-Sayed in his crowded primary is a threat to everything Michiganders hold dear. Republicans must work tirelessly to defeat his far-left, radical ideology,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
