“FIRST IN PLAYBOOK — Cash dash: The NRSC will log $8.8 million raised in its latest financial report out today, entering the summer with its highest-ever cash on hand at $48.8 million, Playbook’s Ali Bianco scoops. It’s almost $8 million more to spend than at this point in 2024. The NRSC will also report its lowest burn rate yet at 66.6 percent and among their highest donations. It comes as Democrats look to put the majority on the defensive in expensive red states like Texas and Ohio. But “disciplined spending,” as the NRSC put it to Playbook, will keep “Senate Republicans in a commanding financial position to defend the majority.”
