- Claimed to have championed veterans legislation he had nothing to do with.
- Bragged about securing pay raises for Georgia troops, then voted against the funding.
- Called out by Georgia foster care officials for faking his foster care record in a political ad.
- Called out by the Atlanta Jewish Times for voting “against Israel on the Senate floor in Washington,” then coming “home to Georgia” and saying the opposite.
