Mike Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed are set for their first debate tonight in Michigan. If you are covering the debate, please consider this statement from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC):
“Abdul El-Sayed is a radical socialist leading the pro-Hamas wing of his party and refusing to denounce his best buddy Hasan Piker for saying ‘America deserved 9/11’. He is too radical for Michigan and will lose to Mike Rogers in November,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
Abdul El-Sayed is a socialist, terrorist sympathizer:
- Abdul asked Hasan Piker to “stump” for his campaign, and has refused to disavow Piker for saying that “America deserved 9/11,” arguing that it “doesn’t matter if rapes f*cking happened on Oct. 7,” and claiming that Iran should have a nuclear weapon.
- Abdul accepted $115,000 from associates of CAIR, a designated terrorist organization.
- Abdul pledged allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood; his mother was caught wiring money to Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, and Hamas; his father-in-law is the former president of CAIR’s Michigan chapter and a top donor to El-Sayed’s super PAC; and his sister-in-law appeared on the terrorist watch list.
- At a CAIR event in 2022, Abdul openly defended Sharia Law in America.
- Abdul has repeatedly attended Democratic Socialists of America events, and organizers called him “a longtime friend of Detroit DSA” and welcomed him as an official member.
- Abdul is a champion of Medicare for all, called for phasing out all fossil fuels in Michigan, and wants to abolish ICE and defund the police.
