“In contrast to the pride Rod Blagojevich must feel tonight for his protégé Tammy Duckworth – who struggled through the well-chronicled divide between Washington insiders and state Democrats over her candidacy, the people of Illinois have much to be leery of her failed record.
“Heading into November, Duckworth will be held accountable for that failed record – particularly for her dangerous national security policies, her looming lawsuit for silencing whistleblowers, and her ineffectiveness in Washington. Given her call for allowing 20 times more refugees than President Obama, the disturbing accusations from her time at the Illinois VA, and her rating as one of the least-effective members of Congress, Illinois families can’t help but wonder what Duckworth pays less attention to: the national security concerns of the American people, the accounts of courageous VA whistleblowers, or her constituents in the 8th District.
