WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released the following statement on today’s Mississippi Senate primary elections:
“Transgender Defender Scott Colom was handpicked by Chuck Schumer and George Soros to push their leftist agenda on Mississippi,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “No matter how hard they try, Mississippians will reject Democrats’ radical agenda and reelect Cindy Hyde-Smith in November.”
Scott Colom is a transgender defender, handpicked by Chuck Schumer and George Soros:
- Chuck Schumer said he wanted Scott Colom to run in Mississippi.
- As a first-time candidate for District Attorney, Colom received $716,000 in support from a PAC bankrolled by liberal billionaire George Soros.
- George Soros’s son, Alex, hosted a fundraiser for Scott Colom in New York.
Colom’s a radical, anti-Trump Democrat:
- Scott Colom attended a No Kings Rally in Jackson.
- Colom signed a letter condemning bans on transgender surgeries for minors.
- The letter also supported transgender people using the bathroom of their
choice, saying a ban has “no legitimate public safety justification.”

- Colom endorsed Lucy Lang for Manhattan District Attorney; Lang was a
