Senator Tester is taking heat on all sides. First, President Trump hammered Senator Tester at a rally last night in Billings saying Jon Tester “talks like he’s from Montana, but he votes like he’s Nancy Pelosi” and blasted him for becoming part of the swamp in Washington. “Jon Tester will never drain the swamp because he happens to live in the swamp and he loves the swamp,” Trump said.
Next, building on the momentum from the rally, Vice President Pence cut a new ad for the NRSC this morning, knocking Senator Tester for voting against every single one of President Trump’s priorities and urging Montanans to “say no to Jon Tester, and yes to Matt Rosendale.”
Then, Donald Trump Jr. slammed Jon Tester as “a liar and a lapdog” on local Montana radio and ripped him over the controversial Pearl Jam poster released to promote his fundraising concert, which depicted President Trump’s dead body in front of the White House.
But that’s not all, Trump Jr. also took Tester to task in an op-ed this morning for the Montana Standard, for refusing to meet with Judge Kavanaugh, calling Tester “too spineless to stand up to the radical liberal fringe in his party.”
As polls show this race tighter than ever, this onslaught is sure to have Tester worried, as his political future looks more uncertain by the day.
