After Maggie Hassan faced questions for spending 12 days out of state in April, she’s heading to D.C. later this week for a fundraiser.

Or, maybe she’s heading to Washington for some refreshed talking points from the Democratic establishment that has been bankrolling her campaign. According to The New Hampshire Union Leader, she certainly could use some new material.

The editorial characterized Hassan and her campaign as:

“platitudes and hackneyed attacks”

“reluctant to provide…details on the policies she would support”

“[unable] to move beyond tightly scripted talking points”

“reluctant to talk about foreign policy”

The editorial closed with advice for Hassan, “start taking this campaign seriously.”
