Socialist Bernie Sanders is expected to hold an event in Greensboro, North Carolina today.
All of Bernie’s friends are endorsing Cooper, which raises the question: does Sanders support Roy Cooper’s Senate campaign as well?
- Fellow “Fight Club” Senator Elizabeth Warren has endorsed Cooper. Sanders and Warren are leaders of the Senate Democrats’ “Fight Club,” a radical group of liberal Senators whose claim to fame is hating President Trump and opposing Chuck Schumer.
- Sanders endorsed Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential bid, and Harris is also backing Roy Cooper.
- Sanders has also backed other liberal Senate candidates in Minnesota and Michigan.
“Like Roy Cooper, Bernie Sanders is just another soft-on-crime liberal whose socialist policies are out of touch with North Carolina,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
