Today marks the one-year anniversary of Heidi Heitkamp’s disastrous and deciding vote to keep the Obama Administration’s job-killing BLM methane flaring rule in place. And one year later, North Dakotans are still paying the price for her failed leadership.
Heitkamp’s reckless decision to keep the rule in place, despite North Dakota having its own tough emissions requirements, has hurt North Dakota energy producers. It’s saddled them with another duplicative and costly federal regulation and threatened thousands of North Dakotans who rely on the energy industry for their livelihood.
North Dakotans deserve to have someone who represents them 100% of the time, not just when it’s politically convenient, and with this vote and many others, Heitkamp has failed to deliver.
