Catherine Cortez Masto will be dining with Hillary Clinton tonight at Harry Reid’s Nevada caucus countdown dinner, which could be a little uncomfortable for everyone involved.

Despite running for office since last April, Cortez Masto hasn’t been one for public appearances. But in one of her only media interviews of the campaign, Cortez Masto was asked if she would endorse Hillary Clinton. In classic Cortez Masto fashion, the candidate refused to give a direct answer to the question:

The evasive response is par for the course for Cortez Masto, whose most consistent position of the campaign has been avoiding reporters and voters. Here are just a few of the other big questions she’s ducked lately:

  • President Obama’s Guantanamo shutdown.
  • Hillary Clinton’s comments letting the VA off the hook for their neglect of veterans’ health, which were blasted by the Review Journal.
  • President Obama’s veto of a bill authorizing Department of Defense policies.
  • The budget agreement.
  • Landmark cybersecurity legislation.
  • The Obama administration’s latest EPA regulations.
  • Massive Obamacare rate hikes.
  • It took nearly two months for her to commit to a position on the Iran nuclear deal.
  • She was repeatedly unable to answer questions about which elements of the deal she finds concerning.

If you see Catherine Cortez Masto, it might be worth asking if she’s made up her mind about Hillary Clinton. But don’t expect much of an answer.
