Just like his pretend Indianapolis condo, Bayh’s Indiana campaign office is currently empty.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that the crack team over at the Indiana Democratic Party admitted that “nobody is there” because “they don’t have anybody staffing the office right now.”

Knowing Bayh, there are two possible explanations: either his campaign office moved to DC like his foundation or he must have given the wrong address to his staff.

The Indiana Democratic Party is not giving out the phone number for Evan Bayh’s campaign headquarters because “they don’t have anybody staffing the office right now,” the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

In an attempt to contact Bayh’s campaign, which was launched on July 12 and lists neither an email address or phone number on its campaign website, the Free Beacon contacted the state party and asked whether the campaign had a phone number.

“Not yet, sorry about that,” said an individual at the Indiana Democratic Party who recommended that an email be sent to the generic [email protected] address.

Questioned further on how it was possible that the campaign had no phone number, the man clarified.

“They do, but they don’t have anybody staffing the office right now,” he said. “The campaign is kind of in an all-hands-on-deck mode right now, so there is nobody to check the phones.”

“So there is nobody there, and I don’t have the number for it,” he said.
The Indiana Democratic Party was not alone. Reached separately during attempts to contact the Bayh campaign, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee said that it had neither an email address or a phone number for Bayh’s campaign.

He is categorized as an “inactive voter” by the Indiana Election Division.
