Lamb: Fake Moderate, Fetterman: Wishy-Washy

Washington, D.C. – Depending on the day, PA Senate hopeful Conor Lamb either claims that he is a centrist or a liberal, but the truth is he has always just gone where the political winds blow. On the other hand, Bernie Sanders supporter and PA Senate hopeful John Fetterman is a liberal who’s now trying to walk away from his previous stances on issues that matter to Pennsylvanians.

In case you missed Conor Lamb admitting he’s a fake moderate, the Philadelphia Inquirer reminded us this morning:

Conor Lamb: “When I was representing a district that Trump had won by 19 points, that can’t help but rub off on you a little bit,” Lamb told the progressive group Indivisible Narberth in a virtual forum in September, which was recorded and shared with The Inquirer. “So if some of my votes end up looking different than colleagues of mine in [strongly Democratic] districts, that’s almost inevitable. …”

Also according to the Philadelphia InquirerFetterman is wishy-washy on issues that are typically a no-brainer with his supporters:

Fetterman on Medicare-for-All: “If Medicare for All needed my vote to pass in the U.S. Senate, I would,” Fetterman said last summer. “But if a public option that would create access for everybody needed my vote to pass, I would.”

Fetterman on Fracking: “Climate change is an existential threat, and we need to transition to clean energy as quickly as possible,” Fetterman campaign spokesperson Joe Calvello said. “We also have to preserve the union way of life for the thousands of workers currently employed by the natural gas industry in Pennsylvania and the communities where they live. We can’t just abandon these people and tell them to go learn how to code.”

Fetterman is always trying to walk back his support for banning fracking in Pennsylvania. Nice try.

With Conor Lamb being a fake moderate and John Fetterman being wishy-washy on political stances that should be obvious given his record, Pennsylvania Democrats should be worried.
