Murphy just voted against the Zika Vector Control Act, designed to combat the dangerous Zika virus. Falling in line behind Democrat leaders, Murphy cast a vote that plainly makes Floridians less safe.
Just last week, the do-nothing Congressman declared, “the need for immediate action could not be more clear.” Murphy himself noted that there have been over 500 confirmed Zika cases in the United States.
But when it came time to act, Murphy did nothing – opposing new federal guidelines that would have made it easier to eliminate disease-carrying mosquitos.
It’s hardly a surprise that Murphy was once again a puppet of the Washington Democrat establishment – but it’s inexcusable that he refused to stand up to his party and instead put Floridians at risk.
