Murray’s Votes for Free Money and a Free Pass for Criminals

Washington, D.C. – Crime has skyrocketed in Washington State and drugs have ravaged the Evergreen State’s communities. So what does 30-year incumbent Patty Murray choose to do with our taxpayer dollars?

Early last year, Murray cast the deciding vote for the multi-trillion-dollar so-called “American Rescue Plan” that she loves to tout on the campaign trail. What she doesn’t tell you is that she voted against a Republican amendment to make sure that stimulus checks from this legislation didn’t go to prisoners. What ended up happening?

That’s right! Nearly $1 billion in taxpayer dollars went to criminals like Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber, and Larry Nassar, the pedophile doctor who abused women on the U.S. gymnastics team.

It’s not just stimulus checks Patty Murray wants to give to criminals:

  • Allowing Prosecutors to Let Crime Go Unprosecuted: Last year, Murray voted against a Republican measure to limit or prohibit federal grants from going to local governments whose district attorneys chose not to prosecute certain crimes.
  • Allowing Criminals to Go Free: Earlier this month, Murray voted against a Republican measure to increase funding to combat violent crime and prevent the release of dangerous criminals.

Just from the looks of her voting record, Murray’s mantra seems to be free money and a free pass for violent criminals.
