Heidi Heitkamp is ready to claim her reward for being one of Chuck Schumer’s most loyal lieutenants, as she’s set to attend a fundraiser today hosted by the New York liberal.
Despite President Trump winning North Dakota by 36 points, Heitkamp has chosen to side with Schumer and left-wing Democrats on every major issue. She opposed the GOP tax cuts, refused to crack down on sanctuary cities and supported late-term abortions, all while voting with Schumer 83 percent of time during her Senate career.
So much for her promise to put North Dakota first.
“Heidi Heitkamp’s abysmal voting record has left North Dakotans worse off,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “North Dakota voters deserve a Senator who will put their interests ahead of liberal Washington Democrats, and that’s one of the many reasons why Kevin Cramer will defeat Heitkamp this November.”
