Fraud Flanagan’s fellow Democrats just opposed Republican-led legislation to protect Minnesotans from higher energy costs. This is the second time Senate Democrats blocked the bipartisan legislation.
Flanagan says energy costs must be brought down and says artificial intelligence is an “existential threat,” but her Party voted to block protections for Minnesotans from higher costs due to data centers.
“Fraud Flanagan is a socialist who let fraudsters steal at least $9 billion from taxpayers. She’d be another vote for Democrats’ obstruction blocking bipartisan legislation to protect Minnesotans from higher energy costs,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
Michele Tafoya and Senate Republicans are fighting to lower costs for Minnesotans. The bipartisan legislation ensures that:
- Minnesotans are protected from higher utility bills.
- Companies pay their own way while building the AI infrastructure America needs.
- Companies provide the power they consume and safeguard local water and natural resources.
- America has the superiority we need to compete with China without passing the costs onto families.
