Actions speak louder than words, and that’s certainly the case when it comes to Phil Bredesen.

Despite claiming he wants to end “partisan squabbling,” Bredesen is set to attend a Memphis rally headlined by Cory Booker, who’ll be fresh off his ridiculous week-long antics during the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Bredesen has yet to condemn his fellow Democratic Party members for their coordinated stunts, showboating and outright hostility to rules and procedures during the hearing. But I guess Phil’s silence is the price of admission for “Spartacus” to come gin up support for Bredesen’s campaign.

“Phil Bredesen’s refusal to condemn the antics by Senate Democrats this week is exactly why Tennessee voters can’t trust him,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “When Booker and Bredesen appear on stage together, Tennesseans will see the type of unhinged behavior they want nothing to do with.”
