It turns out that red state Democrats made a huge miscalculation in opposing the GOP tax relief plan. A new Axios/SurveyMonkey poll finds a plurality of voters in Trump states represented by Senate Democrats think the economy is better off than it was a year ago.
Voters clearly approve of the passage of the GOP tax law that’s delivering bonuses, pay raises and employee investments across the country. Seems the Democrats’ predictions of Armageddon have proven to be completely off base. Now that it’s clear voters approve of tax cuts keeping more money in their pockets, red state Democrats will have to explain why they chose to side with their Democratic Party bosses instead of hardworking families back home. Making their reelect chances even more difficult, Schumer and his far-left colleagues have rolled out a tax hike plan to repeal the tax cuts.
“The only Armageddon on the horizon for red state Democrats are their reelection chances in November thanks to their vote against the popular Republican tax cuts,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Republican tax relief is tremendously successful back home, and red state Democrats still can’t answer as to why they chose their party bosses over middle-class families.”
