It turns out that people enjoy keeping more of their hard-earned money. New polling conducted by Axios shows 58% of Missourians approve of the new tax law that’s responsible for millions of Americans receiving bonuses, bigger paychecks and higher wages.
The rising popularity of the tax cuts makes it even more uncomfortable for vulnerable Senator Claire McCaskill, who voted against the legislation and has gone out of her way to criticize Republican tax reform. Not only that, Senate Democrats are now insistent on repealing the tax cuts responsible for the flood of economic benefits.
“As voters are seeing bonuses, raises and bigger paychecks, Claire McCaskill’s decision to vote against tax cuts is nothing short of a political catastrophe,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Missourians won’t forget that when McCaskill was given the opportunity, she fought to block the economic benefits that are improving their lives.”
