At his visit in Springfield this evening, President Trump told Missourians that it’s time to replace liberal Washington Democrat Claire McCaskill with Josh Hawley.
Trump blasted McCaskill for failing to stand up for Missourians saying, “McCaskill doesn’t represent the people of Missouri, she represents the radical Democrats.” The President also offered clear support for Hawley’s campaign, telling Missourians, “We need Josh in the Senate to fight for Missouri and really to fight for our whole country.”
As the campaign heads into its final weeks, McCaskill is desperately trying to appeal to the same conservative voters who helped President Trump to his 19-point blowout win in Missouri two years ago. But with one rally, Trump has severely undercut her already weak case.
