WASHINGTON, D.C. — Fake Independents Brian Bengs (D-SD), Dan Osborn (D-NE), and Seth Bodnar (D-MT) are expected to hold a press conference today where they will continue lying to voters about not caucusing with Democrats if elected to the U.S. Senate.
Senators who do not caucus with a party do not receive positions on Senate committees, forfeiting the representation they owe their constituents. “Independents” Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Angus King (I-ME) caucus with Democrats—and Bengs, Osborn, and Bodnar would join them if elected.
“The Fake Independent circus is fooling nobody. Bengs, Osborn, and Bodnar are Democrats who would caucus with Democrats and fight for the radical left’s agenda if elected to the U.S. Senate,” said NRSC National Press Secretary Bernadette Breslin.

Democrat Dan Osborn
- Admitted he would never caucus with Republicans.
- Recruited by the socialists behind Zohran Mamdani, Graham Platner, Abdul El-Sayed and Nathan Sage.
- Appeared alongside radical Democrats like James Talarico and Scott Colom.
- Helped recruit socialist Graham Platner in Maine.
- Osborn is a Bernie Bro. “I love Bernie,” Osborn admitted in private.
- Rakes in hundreds of thousands off of ActBlue and is bankrolled by socialists like Elizabeth Warren.
- Bankrolled by national Democrats and Chuck Schumer in 2024.
- Backed by the Nebraska Democrat Party.
- Admitted that his policies are the same as socialists Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Troy Jackson.
- Called President Trump’s border wall a “symbol of racism” and a “joke” that “does nothing.
- Osborn lied about his wife being on Graham Platner’s payroll.
- Osborn’s wife was paid by former Democrat Senate candidate Nathan Sage in Iowa.
- Osborn and Democrats planted Democrat Cindy Burbank in the primary who admitted her only purpose was to drop out and give Osborn a “fair shot against” Ricketts.
Woke University President Seth Bodnar:
- Bodnar was recruited by Chuck Schumer and Jon Tester, with Tester saying the Democrat Party was “poison” in Montana.
- Bodnar uses national Democrat fundraising platform ActBlue to fundraise.
- Bodnar has been described as “an early champion for transgender athletes at the University of Montana” and oversaw the first transgender athlete to compete in Division I cross country.
- Under Bodnar’s leadership, the University of Montana became a “true partner” of Missoula Soft Landing, a refugee resettlement organization.
- Bodnar encouraged students to advance DEI.
Brian Bengs:
- Bengs was “inspired” by Democrat Dan Osborn’s fake independent campaign in Nebraska.
- Bengs endorsed fellow fake independent Dan Osborn—who backs the tax-hiking policies of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren—for Senate Majority Leader.
- Is a lifelong Democrat who ran as a Democrat against John Thune just four years ago.
- Bengs uses the national Democrat fundraising platform ActBlue to fundraise.
- Lost his cool on a rally attendee who called him what he is: a “Democrat”
- Is in a group chat with fake independents Dan Osborn and Todd Achilles.
- Wants to restrict gun rights, is a pro-abortion extremist, and criticized a ban on men playing in women’s sports.
