After submitting her nomination signatures today, Senator Tammy Baldwin is officially on the ballot – and so too is her terrible record of achievement for Wisconsin families. With Tammy making it official, there’s never been a better time to start asking Senator Baldwin the tough questions Wisconsinites want to see answered. Questions like…

  • Why Baldwin ignored reports from the VA Inspector General’s Office and repeated warnings from whistleblowers about opioid abuse at the Tomah VA facility, and why she refused to take action for months until it was revealed that a veteran died of an overdose at the facility?
  • Whether Senator Baldwin still plans to repeal the GOP tax cuts which have brought higher wages, bonuses and helped bring Wisconsin unemployment to an all-time low?
  • Why, after 32 years of running and serving in public office, has Senator Baldwin only ever been the primary sponsor of four pieces of legislation to become law?
  • Whether or not Senator Baldwin still believes that creating a federal “Department of Peace and Nonviolence” is the best approach to eradicating terrorism and defeating ISIS?
  • If Senator Baldwin agrees with her colleagues and would welcome Hillary Clinton – who Wisconsin voters rejected – back to Wisconsin to campaign with her this year?
  • Why she’s continued to vote against measures to get serious about fixing America’s broken immigration system and why she continues to support giving federal funding to sanctuary cities that refuse to comply with federal immigration law?
  • Whether her decision to vote with Elizabeth Warren 93% of the time puts her in-step with Wisconsin families?

But that’s just a few ideas to get us started…

“Senator Baldwin’s abysmal approval ratings make clear that Wisconsinites have serious questions about her extreme record in Congress,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore, “And with the campaign now off to its official start, it’s time for Senator Baldwin to start fessing up. Voters won’t forget that, even when it matters most, Baldwin chooses to side with radicals like Elizabeth Warren over everyday Wisconsin families.”
